Wonderful Weekend!

We had a lot to celebrate this weekend!  Starting Friday Jess took his series 7 exam and passed!  Woo Hoo! What a relief!  He is now officially a broker/financial advisor.  We are so proud of him!  The fun continued when we celebrated Sydney's 6th birthday on Sunday.  She had a wonderful time with all her friends and family.  She had a 60's tye dye themed party and the kids all dyed shirts, got their faces painted (by Jess's cousin Kristi who did an AMAZING job!), hit a pinata and enjoyed cake and ice cream.  She had lots of fun and it's hard to believe she's 6 already!

On her actual birthday, the 19th, we sent her on a scavenger hunt to find her present that ended up being hid in the camper.

Flower power cupcakes!

Bella giving it her best shot!

This last one isn't really birthday related but the girls are all set to hit the slopes this winter!  Jess and I are pretty excited to get back into skiing!

So Many Changes!

Including our blog!  Since Vox closed I decided to join my friends on blogspot.  So here goes a brief recap since my last post on vox which was before we left Virginia.
We made the long drive from Virginia to Montana at the end of July.  Jess took a couple of days off to enjoy time with friends and family and in August he started working for Edward Jones and is currently studying for his series 7 exam that he will take later this month.
Sydney started Kindergarten a couple weeks ago and loves it!  She really likes her teacher and so do I.  Bella on the other hand has really been missing her sister since she's gone ALL day now.  She gets pretty excited when it's time to go get Sissy from school in the afternoons. We both have been missing our Sydney but I really enjoy getting some one on one time with Bella.

So here goes....

We had a bbq at our house a couple weeks before we left VA.  Here I am with my friends Amy and Pam.

All loaded up and ready to go.  Syd was pretty sad to say goodbye to her friends and our house.

An accidental detour through some farmers corn field...

We camped our way across the country.  Here are the girls on our first night in our camper getting ready for bed.

It was so nice when we finally stopped in the evenings to let the kids and dogs run!

When you're gettin' close to home and you feel a little foam.......

Finally we made it to Missoula and the girls got to see their great Grand-mom Doris and the girls and I got to meet Christian for the first time!

Then up to Columbia Falls were we got to see lots more family.  Here the girls are with great grandparents Frank and Dawn.

...and with Grandma Dodie and Jim

Bella's little crossed legs crack me up!

You better believe we didn't miss the excitement of the North West Montana Fair!  Busch Gardens should really take some notes. ;-)

Jessica, Jason and their two boys Xander and Eli came home for a visit and it was so great seeing them!  I finally got to meet Eli and the kiddos had lots of fun playing together!

Here's Jess on his first day at work.  Bye bye cami's, hello suits and ties!

And of course, Syd's first day of school.
